The Rugby Roadshow was back in town as the Imberhorne School Sports Co-ordinator, Steve Hill, continued to work in partnership with the East Grinstead Rugby Club to increase the profile of rugby throughout Year 7.

It’s hard to believe that we are in the fifth year since Adam passed away, and have just played the fifth memorial match between Sackville and Imberhorne.

Despite 1st October being an INSET day, the netball squad of eight: L. Jackson, S. Ward, E. Sharrocks, E. Radcliffe, H. Barker, B. Sargent, B. Lloyd and K. Booker, took part in a tournament at Thomas Bennett Community Collage.

On Wednesday 2 July 2008, a group of Sixth Form students, led by Ali Brown, Head of Year 12, completed the Race for Life charity race at Tilgate Park in aid of Cancer Research. The girls raised £200 and did brilliantly - most of them ran all the way – 5k! Well done all!

On Monday 16th June, B. Lloyd, E. Radcliffe, E. Ambridge, R. Petitt, H. Barker, S. Ringwood, A. Carter, F. Colletti, C. Fox, L. Hamilton, A. Ing, I. Highland, K. Booker and P. Davey, from Year 7, went to the U12 North Area Athletics Competition at Sackville school and they did amazingly well.

On 23 May 2008, Year 9 students were involved in a sponsored aerobics workout, to help raise funds for the leprosy sufferers' charity, LEPRA. The students raised £442.29. SPONSOR MONEY/DONATIONS ARE STILL WELCOME. PLEASE CONTACT MRS. SOLOMON OR MS. K WALTERS AT LOWER SCHOOL.

Having won their area league, Imberhorne qualified for the Sussex School Netball Finals which were held at The G4S Netball Centre on Tuesday 20th May. Imberhorne started brightly, winning their first game against Helenswood of Hastings, 15-2.

Well done to Year 7 Imberhorne Boys' football team for their resounding success at beating Hazelwick 2-1, to become the district champions for 2008.
