Our first ever virtual Sixth Form Open Event was held on 12th November.

Our Reading Bingo scheme, along with our Summer Readathon were really popular this year with both our avid and reluctant readers. We would like to congratulate the following students on their success.

Early on in 2020, English teacher, Ms Bellasis, launched a writing competition for her students, organised via Young Writers UK. Excitingly, the organisation wish to publish some of our students’ work!

Our English department are thrilled to be with our students once again this term and want nothing more than to encourage, support and develop skills in English and literacy.

Following months of remote learning and unable to share the day to day experiences that school brings, it was wonderful to see our students back in school again from Friday 4th September.

We are delighted that 83% of all grades were C or above and that 32% of all grades were A*/A. Our students have secured places at universities all across the country and on degree level apprenticeships as well as entering the world of work. We couldn't be more proud of them!

Mrs Cook, Head of Year 7, has created an audio book especially for Year 6 students (and other students that would like to listen too!)  “The Boy at the Back of the Class” is an acclaimed book dealing with inclusion, acceptance, and community.
