Recognition and Reward
At Imberhorne, we are passionate about celebrating student success. Our updated Reward and Recognition Model for the 2025–26 academic year reflects our continued commitment to raising the profile, frequency, and quality of how we acknowledge our students’ achievements — both big and small. We reguarly review this model and will update all changes here.
Our Approach
Following feedback from students, staff, and parents, we have refined our model to ensure that every student has regular opportunities to be recognised for their effort, progress, and contribution to school life. The updated system aligns closely with our core values, which underpin everything we do at Imberhorne.
Students collect achievement points throughout each term. These points contribute to termly celebration events held at Christmas, Easter, and July, where outstanding effort, achievement, and character are recognised.

Celebrating Success
There are many others ways our students can be celebrated, including:
- Headteacher’s Awards – nominated every fortnight to recognise exceptional contributions and conduct.
- ImberStar Awards – half-termly recognition for students who consistently demonstrate our core values.
- Subject Awards – presented at the end-of-year celebration events to honour excellence in specific subjects.
- Reward Trips – offered across different year groups throughout the year. Each trip has clear qualifying criteria shared with students in advance.
- Attendance Awards – recognising both excellent and improved attendance on a half-termly basis.
- The “Everyone In Club” – a new KS3 initiative promoting inclusivity and consistent attendance.
At Imberhorne we believe these changes will ensure that praise and recognition remain at the heart of school life, celebrating the everyday brilliance and the extraordinary moments that make our students special.
By working together, we can motivate all students to strive for excellence and ensure that every young person at Imberhorne feels valued and celebrated for their achievements.

Key Stage 4 Record of Achievement
In Year 11 all students complete a Record of Achievement (ROA). This is a record that students can take with them for Post-16 interviews and forms part of the Year 11 graduation process as it provides evidence for student achievement both in school and out of school. It is their personal record and students are encouraged to present it in the best possible way.
The pages below are designed for students to work on both at school, in Personal Development lessons and at home. Click on each individual page and save to 'My Documents' folder and type in your personal information. The ROA may also contain photographs, certificates etc.
