Futures and Careers Guidance
We have an extremely comprehensive Futures/Careers programme for our students as they progress through Sixth Form at Imberhorne.
Work Experience Week
Work experience is an important part of the Sixth Form experience and we are delighted to offer the opportunity for our Year 12 students to undertake a week long programme of compulsory work experience towards the end of the Summer term. Students will self-place within the industry or profession they might be thinking of working in after Sixth Form or after University/Further Education. Our work experience letter and application form will be abailable on this page when finalised (usually before the February half term holiday) and must be completed by the Easter holidays.
Please click on the image below for apprenticeship inspiration. Students also receive Sixth Form Bulletins with apprenticeship information via Google Docs.
Our Careers Information Centre is based next to Room 112. Sixth Foerm students may visit at any time for a general browse. For specific queries or to arrange a careers interview, please contact Miss Singleton or Mr Turner on the email addresses below. There are websites and plemty of resources to help and we can assist students in accessing numerous educational programs to help their research.

Throughout the year we run various careers and work experience programmes for all the year groups across the school. We couldn't do this without the support of our local community. Whether it's work shadowing for a day or a week placement, holding a stall at a careers fair or providing a careers chat to a group of interested students, we would love to hear from you. Please email our Careers Administrator, Mrs Lisa Parker lparker [at] imberhorne [dot] co [dot] uk (lparker [at] imberhorne [dot] co [dot] uk (link sends e-mail)). We are pleased to work with so many friends from the East Grinstead Business Association, businesses from all over West Sussex and our own ex students to create opportunities that prepare our students for the workplace.
