Musician of the Year Concert

The Key Stage 4 Musician Of The Year concert is always a highlight of the Imberhorne School calendar and this year was no exception. A fantastic field of singers and instrumentalists wowed the audience with a range of brilliant and confident performances.  Judging on the overall performance including stage presence as well as technical ability,  the vocalists won the night with their high quality numbers. It was an extremely difficult decision for the judges but after much deliberation the winners were announced.

In first place was Year 11 Georgina Pullen with her vocal rendition of "Little Talks" accompanied by herself on guitar. In second place, Year 11 Kiara Stott impressed the judges with her version of "Flight" and then Joanna Maclachlan, also Year 11, took third place with "Writing on the Wall".

We would like to congratulate all the students who took part. It takes courage and dedication to put oneself forward for a competition such as this. Miss Dunkley, one of our judges, school librarian and singer/songwriter, commented “having suffered with stage fright over the years, I can whole heartedly applaud our students for such impressive performances under the spotlight”.
