Matrix Cyber Challenge

A classroom full of our Year 9 girls, who have a keen interest and passion in Computing, took part in the innovative cyber competition - The Matrix Challenge on Wednesday 29th January. This interactive challenge is UK wide and has been developed by 11 regional organised crime units across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Its aim is to educate and inform young people on the matter of cyber security, which is a growing field of industry. Our Year 9 girls really enjoyed the challenge with student Grace McCulloch commenting, “it was so interesting, especially as we have been looking at careers and option choices this week”. Miss McCusker, Computing teacher and Assistant Head of Year, said the girls worked really well, enjoyed themselves and have hopefully been inspired to pursue a career in this field.
