On the evening of Tuesday 11 th May 2010 the annual Year 11 Graduation Ceremony took place, with the Effingham Park Hotel again playing a superb venue for a fitting occasion.
This year’s students produced record numbers of graduates: 70 graduate, 77 with merit and 63 with distinction. All the students deserve huge credit, not only for their academic progress, but also for meeting the various criteria that was required to graduate (for example: behaviour, punctuality, deadlines and school or community service that have benefitted others).
Particular recognition went to P. Lincoln who gained the Ann Bolt Shield for her outstanding contributions in her ‘Record of Achievement’ (part of the criteria for all Year 11 students if they wanted to graduate). Worthy runners up here were G. Jones, V. Hands, S. Bellisio and R. Palmer. Miss J. Barwell and the school jazz band provided an appropriate sound track to the evening. All present were treated to the sheer musical brilliance of T. Elliot and E. McGuffie. A wonderful evening.
