The gardening project started in March 2007 at Windmill Lane. Initially, we planted a couple of trees in the school grounds to provide shade for the pupils during the summer months.
The project was then extended to grow a selection of vegetables. From time to time, the vegetables are harvested and sold to the school canteen, who then create some fabulous meals for us.
We are also creating a wildlife garden at Windmill Lane using a team of budding Year 7 pupils and a couple of enthusiastic staff.
We are always on the look out for tools, especially large spades and forks for us to use. If you have anything you would like to donate to the project but are unable to bring to the school (we can collect them if necessary) we would very much appreciate it. We are happy to accept donations of seeds, bulbs and plants to use in the gardens. We are also in desperate need of two sheds, one for Windmill Lane and one for Imberhorne Lane. If you can help, please contact Mr Langstone at Windmill Lane or email rlangstone@imberhorne.co.uk
Thank you to everyone who has supported the project so far.
