A team of Year 10 students took part in the final of the challenging and exciting Mid-Sussex STEM Challenge. Our students designed upgrades to an RC car, ultimately enabling it to be driven remotely around a course on Friday 19th May. They also presented their project to an audience of STEM ambassadors and local dignitaries. The challenge became even greater when the first choice of camera, an FPV drone camera – failed, giving the team only 2 days to develop an alternative system! It is a great credit to them that they succeeded, and Mr Turner, Electronics Leader was very proud of their positive attitude.
Students commented, ‘We all had lots of fun – wish we had a better driver!’ and ‘It was fun to compete and to meet the local MP’
